Thank you for visiting our web site. We hope very much that you will support our aims and objectives and consider becoming a member of the Friends.

We have three options for membership which are as follows;
Full members - Click for more info
Full membership of the Friends is open to any person over the age of 18, approved by the Committee who subscribes to the objectives of the organisation and agrees to be bound by its rules. Members will pay an annual subscription of £50 the subscription for a couple is £75.

As a full member we hope that you will become fully engaged with the Friends activities; you will receive regular reports and updates and be entitled to attend the AGM and any special meeting that may be called. You will be able to have a say in appointing officers and committee members and setting the direction for the future including events and other fund raising efforts. Your comments and suggestions will be warmly received as in a very real sense the Friends organisation belongs to you.
Corporate Members - Click for more info
Any local affinity group may become a corporate member by concluding a partnership agreement with the organisation with a minimum subscription of £100.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are used to cover the Friends operating costs and provide pump priming money for appeal projects and applications to external funders. Subscriptions are essential if we are to generate a steady and predictable income stream. For ease of administration and to keep down running costs we encourage members to pay their subscription by standing order though other forms of payment are more than acceptable.
If you prefer to pay your subscription by cheque this should be sent to the Treasurer, Friends of St Laurence, St Laurence Church, Union Street, Chorley and marked membership subscription on the back. The payment becomes due on January 1st.

Donations
These are one off payments to support particular projects that the Friends have agreed to finance.
If you would like to no more about our projects and perhaps make a donation please go to the Donors page on this website
St Laurence’s Church is situated in the centre of Chorley. It is believed that there has been a Church on that site since Anglo Saxon times. St Laurence’s is a unique link with the past providing a vital sense of continuity and local identity.
